Nicholas Torres (M.Ed.) works at the cross section between the private sector, government, and not-for-profits and aligns them toward collective social impact goals and public policy. Nick has over 20 years of experience in executive management. Nick founded and currently leads a social sector “think-tank” organization; and teaches at the University of Pennsylvania.

Aricia De Kempeneer

TUFH Programming Manager, The Network: Towards Unity For Health (TUFH)

Aricia, a Midwife, works as an independent midwife in Belgium. She has a Masters in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Ghent. She co-founded the revived Student Network Organization and was the first president in 2015 – 2016. She is in charge of TUFH Membership and the TUFH Conference Organizer.

Veronika Duwel

Vice-President, Student Network Organization (SNO)

Veronika is a 22-year-old Global Health and Medical student at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. She is half-Polish and half-Dutch. In November 2017 she joined SNO as a Regional Representative for Europe, last year she was the Public Relations manager. Now, she is the Vice-President for SNO and wants to continue working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment with students and professionals.

Prof. Gandes Retno Rahayu, MD, MMedEd, PhD

Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing UGM

Prof. Gandes currently serves as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Before this appointment, she was Head of the Department of Medical Education and Director of the Master Program in Medical Education. From 2010 until 2016, she was selected to serve as an executive committee member for the LINQED international educational network, based in Belgium.

After completing her Medical Doctor degree at UGM in 1997, Prof Gandes earned her Master degree in 2001, graduating with distinction from the Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK. She later earned her PhD in Medical Education from the same institution. Prof. Gandes began her career in Medical Education as a lecturer and went on to become the head of the Committee of Student Assessment at the UGM Faculty of Medicine. She also served as Chair in the division of Examination Development, National Committee of Competency Examination for Indonesian Medical Students.

Prof. Gandes is a speaker at hundreds of national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences. In 2008, she was awarded an Endeavour Executive Fellowship from the Government of Australia. She is a 2013 Fellow of the FAIMER Institute and a member of the editorial board of the Indonesian Journal of Medical Education. She has supervised and served as examiner for numerous Master and PhD
theses.

Dr. dr. Mahardika Agus Wijayanti, DTM&H, M.Kes

Vice Dean of Finance, Asset and Human Resources, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing UGM

Dr. dr. Mahardika Agus Wijayanti, DTM&H,M.Kes. was born on August 17th 1964. She serves as the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources FMPHN UGM. Previously, she had several positions, such as the Head of Medical Doctor Undergraduate Program and the Head of Tropical Medicine Postgraduate Program at FMPHN UGM. She joins in professional organizations, they are IDI (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia) and Yogyakarta, P4I (Perkumpulan Pemberantasan Penyakit Parasit Indonesia).

She finished her Medical Doctor Degree in 1988 at FMPHN UGM. Then she went to Thailand and got her Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at Mahidol University, Bangkok in 1990. She earner her Master Degree in Tropical medicine in 1997, and her Doctoral Degree in Medical Sciences in 2008 at FMPHN UGM.

Widyandana, MD, MHPE, PhD, Sp.M (K)

Widyandana graduated as a medical doctor from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia and, acquired MHPE and PhD title from Maastricht University, The Netherlands. He is currently a Director of Master in Medical and Health Professions Education (MHPE) Program Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada, Chairman of Community and Family Health Care and Inter-professional Education (CFHC-IPE), and Chief Editor for Journal of Community Empowerment for Health (JCOEMPH) at the same university. He also working as Ophthalmologist focusing on Neuro-Ophthalmology field.

Yoyo Suhoyo, MD, M.Med.Ed, PhD

I graduated as medical doctor in 2005 and master of medical education in 2008 from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada (FM-UGM). In 2018, I finished my doctoral degree in medical education at the Groningen University, the Netherlands. I am the Fellow of the FAIMER Institute 2014, in Philadelphia, USA. I am also the member of the editorial board of the Indonesian Journal of Medical Education. I started my work in the field of medical education as a research-assistant at the Department of Medical Education FM-UGM from 2000 until 2007. Since 2008, I have been working as teaching staff and researcher, and actively involved in conducting innovation, faculty development, researches and writing publications on medical education area. Now, I am the chairman of students’ assessment team of medical school, and coordinator of educational development for clerkship program. My works has been published in national and international journal such as Medical Teacher, Medical Education, and BMC Medical Education.

Rachmadya Nur Hidayah, MD, MSc, PhD

Rachma is the secretary of Medical and Health Professions Education (MHPE) masters programme at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMPHN UGM). As a lecturer and researcher in medical and health professions education, she has been involved in teaching and learning since 2009, after completing her medical degree. She obtained a master degree in MHPE from Maastricht University in 2012 and a PhD in medical education from the University of Leeds, in 2018. She has been working in the Skills Laboratory as the clinical skills assessment coordinator for the undergraduate medical programme, which leads to several research projects and innovation. Her areas of research are student assessment, clinical skills training and simulation.

Prattama Santoso Utomo, MD, MHPEd

Prattama is a lecturer in the Department of Medical Education and Bioethics, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada and practices as an emergency physician. Serving as a managing editor of the Indonesian Journal of Medical Education, his research interest is in health professions education; particularly peer-assisted learning (PAL) and clinical skills training; and general medicine. He is involved in the curriculum committee of undergraduate medicine and clinical skills laboratory management in the medical school. He also co-coordinates of the FAIMER Regional Institute of Indonesia for Educational Development and Leadership (FRIENDSHIP).
